Designing better spaces for children to play, learn and grow.
I’m Elie, a civil engineer working in the design and manufacturing of children’s furniture, playgrounds and play spaces. I currently work at MoonKids Home, where I’m involved in real projects for schools, nurseries, hotels, commercial spaces and homes.
Through hands-on experience designing and building children’s environments, I’ve learned that great spaces are about much more than how they look. They need to be safe, functional, age-appropriate, durable and engaging, while giving children opportunities to explore, move, create and learn.
I created Kids Play Spaces to share what I’ve learned about children’s environments — from playground and furniture design to safety, ergonomics, educational approaches and the practical considerations behind creating spaces for children.
